Slash has proven to be a great muscician, but I wonder if the rest of those artists on the album are a good fit with his tunes.
Because Fergie doesn't exactly match the rock and roll profile.

I am not quite sure what to think of if. I mean Slash is a GREAT musician, but I am not a fan much of a fan for Guns 'n Roses, but I can definitely agree that the music was really good. The only thing I am worried about is his stuff sounding exactly the same as Guns 'n Roses but with different singers. A huge part of a solo album is to do something new that you haven't done or couldn't do in the last band you were in. I agree with Jazz-, Fergie? But relativity aside, I think it has potential. What you could hear in the 4 minutes sounded good at times, and normal slash stuff at others. What I really want to see come out of this is kind of a "new" Slash sound. Slash was great when he was with guns, in their first record (appetite) he showed just how unique and strong he is at song bulding and adding that extra special element.....
13 years on he has all that experience of other bands under his belt.
This record should be a testament to how much of a hard worker and mould-breaking artist he is. Also to see how well he can work with such varied artists.
